Cookie Policy

1. In brief

The public pages of deklara.it do not install any cookies. We use no profiling, marketing or third-party cookies, we do not track browsing, and we show no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

The only cookies the service uses are the technical session cookies that keep the user logged in to the reserved area: without them, authentication cannot work. Cookies are small text files that the browser saves on the device to remember information from one page to the next.

2. What gets stored, and when

• Public pages (home, pricing, blog, documentation, legal pages): no cookies, no data saved on the device.
• Reserved area, after login: technical session cookies needed to maintain authentication. They do not require consent (Art. 122(1), Italian Privacy Code D.Lgs. 196/2003) and are not used for profiling or marketing.
• Light/dark theme:if the user switches theme, the preference stays in the browser's local storage. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to any server, and it serves only to remember the choice.
• Payments:subscription payments take place on Stripe's pages (checkout.stripe.com). Any cookies installed at that stage are Stripe's, on Stripe's domain, and are described in its own policy: none are set on deklara.it.

3. Usage statistics (no cookies)

We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, a first-party measurement tool that produces aggregate data without cookies, without storing information on the device and without identifiers that would make it possible to recognize the user or follow them across other sites. No consent is therefore required: the Garante treats first-party analytics tools that do not allow the user to be identified as equivalent to technical cookies. The data may be processed in the United States by Vercel Inc., acting as data processor, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not carry out profiling or behavioral advertising.

4. Why there is no banner

A banner exists to collect consent, and here there is no consent to collect: the public pages install no cookies, and the only cookies the service uses are the technical session ones, which are exempt by law. The Garante has clarified that sites which do not use cookies are not subject to the related obligations, and that for technical cookies alone this policy is sufficient, without a banner. Users can still manage or block cookies from their browser settings:

• Chrome:Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
• Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari:Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
• Edge:Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.

Note: disabling technical session cookies prevents authentication and portal features from functioning correctly.
